Raw chocolate biscuits

Today I have been in creation mode. I really fancied a chocolate biscuit so I came up with a hobnob like raw biscuit covered in divine raw chocolate.

Base;
1 cup of de-shelled hemp seeds
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
1/2 cup mixed nuts

Blend together, then add a cup of dates and blend again.
Empty this out into a tray and press it flat down to make a base.

Topping (there are two versions of how to make this part);
Version 1;
1 cup coconut oil
1 cup of cacao powder
1/2 cup of local honey
1 tsp vanilla

Blend and spread then place in freezer for 15 mins, then slice and eat.

Version 2;
Make raw chocolate with cacao butter.
Melt at low temperature in a bowl over a pan 50g cacao butter then add 1 cup cacao powder and mix well then add 1/2 cup of honey mix and spread then place in freezer.

These are really delicious and great for you as it’s loads of brain food and healthy fats.

Raw fudge

I have just perfected this recipe.
I have been making these every day for the last week. Yes, I know it’s a lot but I have been sharing them and I need a healthy treat to keep me going.
So there are a few ways you can make these- the simple way with just basic ingredients, and they are delicious, or you can go to town and supercharge them as I have just done. So the basic recipe I put up the other day is under raw chocolate delights so check that one out.

With this I blended the ingredients one step at a time to get an ultra smooth finish.

1 cup of cashews (high in calcium)
1 cup of coconut oil (anti-viral)
1 cup of cacao powder (high in magnesium and great for mood and heart)
1/2 cup of de-shelled hemp seeds (brain power)
1/2 cup of ground flax seeds (more brain food)
1/2 cup of goji berries (high anti-oxidant and good for the eyes)
1/2 cup of raisins (good for reducing acidity in the body)
1 cup of superfoods (you can play here I did – 1 tbs lucuma, hemp protein, mesquite, maca, 2 tsp vanilla, 1 tsp reishi mushroom)
1/2 cup of coconut nectar
2 tbs water

Blend, blend, blend and then roll into balls and put in the freezer. This made 50 small balls.

Raw chocolate delights

Well today has been a busy day in preparation for my raw chocolate workshop tonight and all with baby in tow!
So I made a new recipe today which has turned out as rather delicious. I had heard of people making chocolates in the blender so decided to experiment myself.

1 cup cashews
1/2 cup carob
1/2 cup of lucuma
1tbs maca
1 cup of raw cacao powder
1 cup of coconut oil
1tsp vanilla
1tbs water
1/2 cup of raw agave or date syrup
1/2 cup coconut nectar

Blend until smooth, then put in mould or balls and freeze for 20 mins.

Hummus

Just made a new creation..
Hummus with a twist

1 can chick peas well rinsed
1 raw beetroot
1 handful parsley
1 handful oregano
1/2 a lime juice
1 tsp himalyan sea salt
2 tbs sunflower oil
1/2 cup goji berries (optional)
1/2 cup of de shelled hemp seeds or sunflower seeds

Blend and eat.. Yum

Dis ease- mastitis

When we don’t feel well it’s a chance to look at our lives, loves, diet, house and emotions. All dis ease comes from somewhere and it’s the bodies way of giving us a heads up that something is not in line.
Since having a baby i have become aware that my body is being drained and have been working on filling it with the good stuff. So what is that good stuff.. Well yoga, meditation, breathing, raw delights and a balanced diet with loads of great superfoods like spirulina, nettles, plankton, raw cacao, coconut oil and many more. However last week I got a cough and this week mastitis. So it’s all about the chest area. Something I am not getting off my chest. Louise Hay says about coughs…. It’s a desire to bark at the world.
She says mastitis is a refusal to nuture oneself. The affirmation is “I take in and give out nourishement in perfect balance.
One thing i have noticed is that by having my baby sleep on me at night, which is where he is happiest, I am unable to breath deeply while I sleep, and as we eliminate over 70% of our waste thru our breath maybe this is the problem or part of it.
