Delightful balls

I have just made one of the best recipes yet. I am in heaven eating these.
Oh boy, you are in for a treat!

1 cup of dates (pitted)
1 cup of goji berries
1 cup of cashew nuts
1/2 cup pecans
2 tsp vanilla
1/2 cacao beans or nibs

Blend it all together, but blend one ingredient at a time, then roll into balls and refrigerate to set (although mine havent made it into the fridge, they are being devoured by me!).

Water Kefir- Sugar Free recipe

So Water kefir- i have now made 4 batches of this amazing stuff.. so i want to share with you my recipe…. Everywhere i looked the recipes for this included sugar.. well i dont have any sugar so i decided to experiment with Coconut Nectar and it worked a treat..

SO what is Water Kefir you make ask.. well its a grain that is alive and when mixed with sweet stuff makes a bubbly, probiotic drink.
SO what do you do

I got some live grains from ebay. They arrived and i began to play

3 tbs of live grains

3 tbs of coconut nectar ( or sugar)

1 litre of water

so that is the basic recipe and then you can add as you like a few suggestions

1 handful of goji berries

1 tbs grated ginger

Leave to ferment for a few days ( till it fizzes)

then strain it and rinse the grains and start all over again.

This really is soo easy and as you go the grains get bigger

Raw chocolate – new recipe

Yesterday I made a new raw chocolate recipe which friends have said is the best yet and asked me to share. This recipe is packed full of goodness and brain foods. So really, it’s like divine medicine.

50g de-shelled hemp seeds
50g cashew nuts
25g ground flax seeds
25g goji berries
75g coconut nectar
100g cacao powder
50g lucuma
10g red reishi mushroom powder

Blend all ingredients until well mixed.
On the stove, with a bowl over a pan of simmering water, place 100g cacao butter. Gently melt.
Add this and 50g of coconut butter to the blender. This will make a smooth paste which can then be added to moulds and refrigerated for 30 mins, or until set.

Asthma Tea

A friend of ours came over yesterday to work with my husband on the final mix of his new album. When he arrived he was struggling to breath.. Every august and september he has trouble with his breathing… so being me i jumped into gear with getting him feeling better….

We started with a teaspoon of Garlic Honey- see earlier recipe on here…

Then i made him a tea…

2 sprigs of rosemary

2 tbs elderberries (which we had just picked the night before.)

a handful of thyme

4-5 mint leaves

leave this to simmer lightly on the stove for 10 mins then strain and serve..

I currently have a batch sat on the stove lightly simmering for when he needs it.. What was amazing was that within 10 minutes of having this the heavy wheezing stopped… The same thing happened later that day when another friend popped by with the same complaint.. So give it a go. Even if you arent wheezing this is a great immune boosting drink that tastes lovely.. It will also help your memory as rosemary and thyme are very good for that…
